My strategy is to reduce the need for care by partnering with your identified employees who are most likely to
experience higher claims costs and are most resistant to change behaviors and mindset.

Philosophy

We all know what to do. "Eat right, exercise, manage your weight, etc." And there are hundreds of theories, diets,
methods and equipment to get the job done. But the reason why most of us aren't successful is because
something gets
in the way of our good intentions. Chronic stress, lack of time for our personal care, and reliance on high-calorie,
low-nutrition foods exacerbate the problem. The result? Most of us are overweight, unhealthy and just not feeling our best.

Through coaching, the employee learns to value their health and life, giving them a more compelling reason to change
their behaviors. barbMotivates helps people make better lifestyle choices and prioritize taking care of their personal
health.

High Risk Lifestyle Coaching has a high rate of sustainable success, indicating that it provides more impact than a
Wellness Program or Disease Management Program alone.

High Risk Lifestyle Coaching can be added to your existing program - no need to change current vendors. barbMotivates

How Do We Engage Employees to Participate

Lifestyle Coaching is a "benefit" under a company's Wellness Plan. Coaching should be voluntary, however there are
"best practices" for promoting High Risk Coaching. Typically, they are:
- Incentive Based
- Heavily communicated as an employer paid benefit
- Passed off from Disease Management
- Voluntary or subsidized benefit

How Do You Coach?
Coaching is provided on-site, telephonically and via email. Coaching is purchased in blocks of hours targeting
approximately 10% of your population billed on a per employe per month basis. For self-funded companies, coaching
fees can be treated as a preventive care expense and tied into the health plan benefits.
